The joint stand of Uralchem and Uralkali entranced many visitors of the Khimia 2016 International Exhibition. And such emotions are justified in many respects.
The stand, executed by the team of Grata Adv specialists, was made in the form of an asymmetric art object resembling a giant molecule. The art object itself consisted of several highly functional elements, with a thought-out space for communication and presentations.
A design peculiarity of the exhibition stand was the ability to easily take it to separate elements which were ready for transportation and rapid assembly in a new location.
But the main thing that stood out the stand against the background of competitors, was an mind blowing multimedia attraction! Experts and ordinary visitors of the exhibition were offered an unforgettable virtual journey into the bowels of potassium mines.
Our developers recreated the virtual reality of endless underground corridors of really existing potassium mines in great detail. The machinery used there, including scraper reclaimer and gigantic-sized combines, was modeled with an accuracy to the millimetre. For this project we used photo and video materials, specially shot in the mines in the summer of 2016 in the city of Berezniki, Perm oblast.
Thanks to HTC Vive VR-helmets the immersion into the futuristic world of potassium mines became possible. Travelers experienced the full range of emotions as close to reality as possible by using the most advanced technologies for simulating visual and acoustic effects.
For 4 minutes of virtual excursion, visitors walked all the way from the top of the bowels to the miner’s drifts. And at the end of the fascinating journey everyone was waiting for another surprise. Virtual explorer suddenly found themselves in the Permian period of the Paleozoic era and observed the endless sea on the place of the potassium mines.
On the opening day of the exhibition, the first virtual journey was made by the representatives of the management of Uralkchem and Uralkali, together with Deputy Minister of Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsyb. The guests highly appreciated the work of our Agency, remarking that this project was one of the most interesting structural and multimedia solutions of the Khimia 2016 International Exhibition.
